Work Weekend Retreats

Never been to Luther Heights before? Do you have a child who is unsure about coming to camp on their own? This is a perfect weekend to “check out camp” together as a family. It could help both parent and child ease into a great summer camp experience.

Come join us as we work together to accomplish a myriad of tasks. All talents and skills are needed. Join in worships and singing time around the campfire. You may even take time for some fishing or a nap.

Weekend Schedule
Work weekends generally begin on Friday night, whenever you are able to arrive at camp. Work projects vary and require all different skill levels. The projects mostly require rolling up your sleeves and applying a little elbow grease. This is a family–friendly opportunity to come to camp. Kids work side-by-side adults, all the while taking play breaks of course.

Congregational Retreat

Open dates: July 13-15, Aug 24-26, Aug 31-Sept 3, Sept 7-9
Cost: $67.00

The trained staff at Luther Heights is ready to assist you in designing your own congregational retreat. We will provide you with support and resources for a weekend of growth balanced with time for fellowship and spiritual renewal. Please contact the Camp Director at eric@lutherheights.org.

Women’s Retreat

Dates: July 20-22
Cost: TBA

Join in a weekend filled with delicious food, relaxation, Bible study, worship and time away to enjoy the beauty of the Sawtooth mountains and a change in your routine. Get into Stanley for the arts and crafts fair, spend the afternoon hiking or resting on the beach of Alturas lake, and enjoy the company of other women. Weekend Schedule:
Registration is from 3:00–5:00 on Friday followed by dinner at 6:00pm. Enjoy Bible study and worship together with free time on Saturday. Retreat ends after morning worship on Sunday, between 10:00–11:00am.

Fly Fishing Retreat

Dates: August 17-19
Cost: $67.00

Come explore some of Idaho’s best waters in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains. Whether you are an experienced angler or an adventurous novice, this is the perfect opportunity for you! The weekend will include casting lessons, fly fishing workshops, and time on the water pursuing some world class Idaho trout. Do come out for a weekend of great fellowship and fly fishing in the Sawtooth Mountains.

Weekend Schedule

Friday:
Registration is from 3:00-6:00 p.m. shortly followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. After dinner that evening, we welcome everyone to camp with an orientation and introductions of staff members. After the welcoming there will be an introduction to casting. At the close of the day, we will gather around the campfire for evening worship. After worship there is time for snacks and fellowship in the lodge.

Saturday
Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. followed by worship in the outdoor chapel, the meadow, or one of many other beautiful spots at Luther Heights. The greater part of the morning will be spent casting, or learning how to cast, and learning about the different types of flies.

A sack lunch will be provided. During the afternoon you will have time to practice your casting skills out on local streams. Later in the day you are welcome to continue fishing or take a nap, go canoeing, take a hike, and more.

At 6:00 p.m. we will gather for dinner. Following will be a session about how to tie flies. At the close of the day, we will gather around the campfire for evening worship. After worship there is time for snacks and fellowship in the lodge.

Sunday
Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. followed by worship in the outdoor chapel, the meadow, or one of many other beautiful spots at Luther Heights. After worship there will be additional time to go fishing or ask any questions of the weekend’s instructor. We will gather for lunch at 12:00 p.m. and depart shortly after.

Senior High Retreat

Dates: September 28-30
Cost: $67.00 youth, $42.00 adult

*One adult free per congregation.

Did you miss Senior High Week? This is an excellent opportunity for you to re-connect with the friends you missed during the summer or meet new people your age. Don’t miss this chance for fellowship, fun, and creative worship! It’s a great weekend!

Confirmation Retreat

Dates: September 14-16 (East) and September 21-23 (West)
Cost: $67.00 youth, $42.00 adult

*One adult free per congregation

Camping with your confirmation class is valuable time spent in building relationships, conducting class time, and meeting other confirmation students from across Idaho. Contact your congregation’s pastor or person in charge of confirmation for more information.
