Trails Camp

An opportunity to get into the mountains of Idaho, but not as extreme as a backpack trip.

Who:  Trails Camp is for youth entering 7th-8th grades.

When:  The program is offered during the summer months. See program schedule for dates.

Schedule: Here is a brief snapshot of your child’s time out on the trail:

This is an “off–site” program, where the majority of your child’s experience will be away from the site of Luther Heights Bible Camp.

Sunday:

Registration is between 2:00pm–5:00pm.  (You are invited to stay for dinner at 6:00pm.  Just let us know at registration!)  As you meet your counselors and the rest of your trip mates, you’ll get your gear ready for your trip.  Luther Heights supplies packs, sleeping pads, and other essentials for life on the trail.  (You are welcome to bring your own.)  You’ll spend the first night at Luther Heights, preparing for your week in the mountains.  Worship and devotions round out your evening.

Monday–Friday:

You’ll hike to your “home base” on Monday and then do day hikes from there throughout the week.  You’ll experience Bible study and worship in the amazing wonder that are the mountains of Idaho.  Cooking and other community tasks will also be part of your time together.

Friday:

You’ll be picked up Friday morning so you have time to get back to camp, unpack, clean up, and have lunch before you head home.

Cost:  See Program Costs page for more information.
