Family Camp
Experience time with significant people in your life at camp. Designed to be satisfying without being exhausting.
Who: All shapes and sizes! Single, couple, adult, children, friends…
When: The program is offered during the summer months. See program schedule for dates.
Schedule: Here is a brief snapshot of Family Camp:
Friday:
Registration is between 2:00pm–5:00pm. (You can request your own cabin or request specific cabin mates.) After dinner that evening, we will sing songs, take a tour of camp, and welcome everyone to camp with an orientation and introductions of staff members. We’ll talk about the days ahead and provide additional options for the week.
Saturday and Sunday:
Breakfast begins each day at 8:00am followed by singing on the back deck of the main lodge. Worship follows breakfast and is held in the outdoor chapel, the meadow, or one of many other beautiful spots at Luther Heights. Bible study follows worship — a session for adults and a session for kids of all ages.
After lunch each day, activities will be offered by staff members: arts and crafts; archery; canoeing, swimming, games, and hiking to name just a few. Nap time or resting can be taken advantage of during this time as well. At 4:00pm, the counselors offer to take kids so parents can have a few hours to nap, hike, or just relax.
The evenings will provide opportunities for “Family Olympics,” a talent show, or a carnival!
The evenings are concluded with worship around the campfire. S’mores are known to show up after worship, too!
Monday:
Bible study, packing, and closing activities happen on this last day, with a closing worship right before lunch at noon. Departure happens after lunch.
Cost: See Program Costs page for more information.
